PE Sophomore Alex Mendoza Awarded 2020 SLA

Alex Mendoza is a 2018 initiate of Epsilon-Mu and has served the chapter as House Manager. Alex is pursuing a degree in Petroleum Engineering, and boasts a 3.7 GPA!

Outside of Kappa Sigma, Alex serves as President of the Society of Petroleum Engineering (SPE) and Vice President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). Thanks in part to his efforts, TU's chapter of SHPE was recognized as Best Small Chapter in the Nation!

Alex has also found success in his professional life. In 2019, he was hired by Hillcorp as a Petroleum Engineering Intern. Following his summer spent with the company in New Mexico, Alex accepted a return offer for this past summer, and plans to return for this upcoming summer as a Reservoir Engineer.
